Model Tips:

GREAT  SUGGESTIONS

  1. Updates... are VERY important!   Try to send in pics/vids etc as often as possible.
  2.  If you list your email address on your club page then always answer e-mails... once they purchase your club page.  NEVER give out free pics, this will only discourage them from purchasing if they think they can get freebies. Some fans may give sob stories, or make promises to purchase galleries if nudes are sent. This is a lie. Why should you work for free, they wouldn't!
  3. Just because a fan spent money on your galleries or club does not mean they have the right to be rude, mean or demanding. You don't owe them anything if they disrespect you. If anyone is rude, politely respond with a short answer such as  "If you continue to be rude to me, I will block your email (or IM) and report you to the proper authorities.  I will only respond to those who respect me." Sometimes fans think that just because a model is on an adult site that we are at their whim. You deserve as much respect as anyone and never let anyone tell you different! This is why we have club pages, to weed out the freeloaders and rude ones.
  4. This probably should be much higher on the list, but take a good long look at your photos.  Do they look good to you? Would you buy a set to see the quality of pictures you have?  Color balance, focus, & exposure are ever so important.  If you're using a webcam, try to use the best quality possible.
  5. Have fun!  If you just have fun, enjoy what you're doing, it will show through in your photo sessions.
  6. Promote yourself.  GGW. will bring in a bulk of your traffic, but you can promote your page as well.
  7. Join our yahoo group for GGW models. It's a forum where models can get together, discuss experiences, problems or just chit chat and get to know each other. Once a model is officially live, the link will be sent for her/him to join.

This Tips Section is about doing fun galleries, having fun doing them and doing them well.

What sells most?  Some models are here to express themselves, some are here to make money and if that's what you are looking for then these are the top sellers:    Our clientel seem to purchase either very sexy photos or 'disability related' photo sets. Photo sets that include and evolve around the model's disability.  Photos in the wheelchair, using crutches, braces, cathing etc. Transferring from chair to somewhere else is a big hit, also feet are a crowd pleaser. We also have gotten requests for photos including casts and diapers as well. All these suggestions are ONLY suggestions, not mandatory at all,

Photo Do's

  1. Tell a story with your galleries.   Pick a theme and then follow that theme from start to finish.
  2. Use good lighting.  Even if you are taking photos with a flash it is best to have the room or set as bright as you can get it.  This gives more even lighting and helps to keep the photos from coming out too dark.
  3. CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!! No one wants to see your dirty clothes or messy apartment. It tells them that you didn't care enough to take the time for your photos
  4. Show more of your face.  A few close ups are appealing, but not a complete gallery of close ups. The people viewing your photos have an interest in you and when you show your face the more personal the update becomes.  Believe me your viewers will thank you for it.
  5. Make all photos at least 640 pixels on the long size .  In most cases the larger the better.  If they are too large for the page they can be sized automatically for web presentation once they have been submitted.
  6. Vary your poses throughout the photo set, but keep to the selected theme.  You don't need 25 shots of the same pose that are only marginally different from each other.
  7. Update frequently - at least once a month or so if you can.  Customers are more responsive to the girls and guys that update often.  In most cases there also tends to be more sales immediately after updates so the more often the updates the more often little spurts in sales occur.
  8. Offer more than just pics for sale.  Videos are HUGELY popular and sometimes sell better than pics!!  If possible offer webcam sessions, props/clothing that you've worn for sale, phone sessions and calendars in the beginning of the year.

Don'ts

  1. Updates don't have to be huge, but put at least 25 pictures. Ladies who are doing many updates tend to be doing very well.  Quality also counts.  A lot of pictures that are too dark, composed poorly, out of focus/blurry, etc. are not going to keep the customer coming back for more or want to buy your pictures.
  2. Don't submit large numbers of the same pose that are only marginally different.  Change the angle or move out or move in for a close up or move on to the next pose.
  3. Backlighting exists when the primary light source is behind the subject.  This can cause automatic cameras, which includes most digital cameras, to underexpose the subject.  The underexposure causes the subject to become dark and in some cases a silhouette.

There are several ways to correct this situation.  Of course the first is to either move the subject or the photographer to a position where the primary light is coming from behind the photographer.  In some cases this is neither possible nor desirable and in that case the best solution is to use a flash to fill in the dark shadows created by the backlighting.

Composition Framing is important.  Far too often the photographer concentrates on the eyes and ends up snapping the shot with the eyes centered in the photo.  When this happens half of the picture area is wasted and usually filled with distracting items.  You can see in the both the center and far right examples that the photos are more pleasing.  Even if you use the eyes as your focus point you should move the camera to compose the image prior to snapping the shutter.

Are you tired of using the same old update routine such as get the camera out, sit in front of a wall, have the photographer start taking photos, and then strip while the camera is flashing?  That isn't the exact routine that a lot of people follow, but it is pretty close.  Sometimes for variety they will put a sheet over the wall, lay on the floor instead of sitting by the wall, or else lay on the bed, sit in a chair, lounge on the sofa, etc., but the bottom line is that there really isn't a theme or storyline.  Gets pretty boring after a while for all concerned (model, photographer, and the viewer).

Do Themes and Have More Fun

    Posing

I cheat on this one. If at all possible I like to have someone with me that is looking just for that. This helps the model get into the most flattering pose and lets the model know if a double chin or little roll is showing so the pose can be altered by a slight change to the way the head is held or the body is positioned. If an assistant isn't available the photographer should be responsible for letting you know, tell them in the beginning that you would like their input on how the poses look and to be honest, this will help get the best possible photo possible. You can't always tell looking through the lens so before the photographer snaps the photo he/she should look at the pose without the camera and make the necessary changes to the pose.

You can also use props to hide unwanted features. A strategically placed sheet works wonders. You can also use the placement of legs, arms, etc. to hide what you don't want shown. Probably the easiest little trick is to use lingerie which is never fully removed, but rather shifted to the right position to reveal what you want to reveal but hide what you don't want to show. You can also use a large shear scarf or other piece of cloth or wrap to help hide what you want to hide.

The last tip is to look at lingerie and swimsuit magazines and mimic the poses you see there. The models that appear in them are going to pick the most flattering poses they can. Not all the poses will work for you, but some will and they will add variety to the poses in your updates.

Now on to what this is all about.  Each update to your page should tell a story.  Like any book that hits the best seller list an update has to tell a good story.  For an author to have book after book on the best seller list he/she has to keep telling good stories time after time.  I hope that this theme tip will help you do that.

There are a lot of themes that can be used.  In fact some are used so much they even become routine.  Besides how often can you sit in front of the same wall, take a bath in the same shower, check out the pages of other models, we have so many different themes, looks, situations and places expressed on GGW to get ideas from. Use mirrors and other props, it can be lots of fun!!

You may want to get ideas from other magazines such as playboy, glamour etc and of course other GGW models for poses and theme ideas.

I realize that some of you show and do more on your pages then others, but don't let that stop you from using the ideas.  You can either simulate the activity or photograph just the preparation, but tell the viewer what you are doing and what you are building up to and then leave the rest to their imagination.  The more adventurous ones among you can photograph and show everything from start to finish.  No matter which way you decide to go, I can almost guarantee you that both you and the viewer will have more fun.
